Burp Cloths

When I saw these Burp Cloths, from one of my favorite Bloggers- How Does She..., I knew I had to make them. They are so cute, almost too cute for baby spit-up, perfect for a trendy mommy! They have the boutique look, a perfect accessory to any ensemble.
If you are looking for an easy sewing project, this is it! I used some fabric I had left over from other projects and some chenille. I chose the cream colored chenille thinking it would hide the spit-up better. It is not the cheapest fabric but remember your JoAnn's coupons!

*Cut 2 rectangles (I just eyeballed the cut, making two rectangles approximately 5'' by 10'')
*Put the right of the fabric together and sew around 3 of the sides (I sew about 2 inches into the 4th side as well)
*Flip the fabric inside out to reveal the right side of the fabric. Make sure to push the corners out. (I use a plastic chopstick to help invert the fabric)
*The last step is to close the seam using a blind stitch. It took me a few practice goes when learning this stitch, so if it is new to you, you may want to practice on scrap fabric first.

And there you go! The most stylish burp cloths around. They will be a hit at a baby shower, the mall, or tummy time on the living room floor. I can't wait to make more!
